Welcome to our website. Multi-Level Marketing -A Beginners Guide .

Put simply, multi-level marketing is where a network of distributors, or independent representatives, sell/market a service or product to groups, or individuals through a number of means. (This could be by word of mouth, party plan, door to door, catalogue or through media advertrising or advertising on the internet etc). As well as selling the product, the distributors also promote the company. They are rewarded by the company not only for their personal sales but are paid a bonus according to the amount of turnover their team achieves. This is the distributor,s reward for introducing other distributors and teaching them how the business works. (Please read on to see this explained in full).

What's The MLM Secret To Success?

Sometimes when things aren't going well with a person's MLM business, they sometimes begin to wonder, what is the MLM secret to being successful? Guess what, there is no MLM secret to being successful. As you read this article, you may ask, how do you know there is no MLM secret to being successful? Well, after being in this business for several years, after trial and error, and after having success and failure, I've come to learn that the only MLM secret to being successful is YOU!!! All the success and failures I've had in multi-level marketing is directly connected to my actions and as well as my inaction.

When I stopped blaming others for my failure, that's when I began to have success. Because this is a people oriented business, and you have to work with people to make it to the top, you won't like everything they do, when it comes to building your business. Unfortunately, everyone in this world isn't as honest as the next. You will have people who will try and walk over you, to try and get to the top. But what they don't know is, if they do make it to the top, it will be a short lived success. The old term goes, what goes around, comes around. You can't do people wrong, and just think you're going to get away with it. I've always said, you may get me once, but you won't get me a second time. Through my experience, once I learn how a person is, if they mean me no good, I still remain courteous, but I keep them at a distance. I only work with those who respect me, my time, and my experience as an individual, and I shall do the same in return.

Now, being successful in any business means doing things others won't do, going places others won't go, in order to have things, others don't have. Yes, sometimes you have to put in long hours, because you survive and or feed your family. Sometimes it seems like there isn't enough time in a day to get everything done. Rich people have same amount of time in a day as poor people, it just depends on what you do with the time you have. I've constantly heard people tell me; I don't have the time to do a business. Yet, they will turn around in the same breath and complain about having to work a parttime job, along with their fulltime job, because they don't make enough money. I always say, where there's a will, there's a way. Being successful in business means you have to be relentless in finding a way to succeed. You may ask, is there an MLM marketing system out there that works? Sure, there is a MLM marketing system out there that works. As a matter of fact, there are many.

The one I recommend is the MLM formula. Once its setup, it's becomes automated. Eliminating some of the steps of a typical MLM business. The MLM formula is the best online MLM marketing system I've found yet. But I would be remiss if I didn't say this. No MLM marketing system will work, if you're not willing to put in the time and effort to make it successful. That's all to it. You have to take action for it to be successful. Some reasons why people don't take action, is because they have a fear of failure. But what they don't realize is, action cures fear. You have to get uncomfortable, before you can become comfortable. Once you take action, whether it's the right or wrong action, you begin to see something happen. If it's not the results you're looking for, then you have to adjust that action, until you get the results you want. Don't let inaction, be the cause of failure of your business. If you don't have the right MLM marketing system, search for a MLM marketing system that works. Once again I say, what is the MLM secret to success? The MLM secret to success is YOU!!!

How to Keep Your Love of Groups on LinkedIn Alive

For many people who use online social networking, LinkedIn groups shine like a brass ring for the job seeker, the marketer and the collaborative entrepreneur. I belong to 48 groups (almost too many to manage for an introvert), participate in about 6 where I feel like I add value, and was even a co-manager of a group. In general I find these 6 help me attract referral partners, some clients and learn from others in areas I am excited to know more.

Being in a group is often like being in a hotel room and not being sure what city you are in. You join (check-in) and then find out discussions and further connections are on the decline (found out you are in the wrong city.) There are hundreds of thousands of LinkedIn groups, so when I do find the right place, I focus on making it mutually beneficial. If you either lead a LinkedIn group or might consider joining one, here are five ideas to help you keep that sex appeal fresh.

I just got a group invitation in my Inbox! The ones that pull me in quickly usually go something like, "Since we are connected here... I'm happy to invite you to my group and hope you will join." How comfortable to be in a group where I am already connected to someone who wants to move our relationship forward. Are you more likely to accept a group invitation if you know someone? Or does a pre-connection not matter so much? We're likely all different with this. But when you get that invitation, you know how it makes you feel and whether it makes sense to join or not.

What is the purpose of the group? Or do I even care if there is a purpose? For me a purpose is important. I want to have some idea of what we'll be engaging in. "It is not enough to be busy; so are the ants. The question is, what are we busy about?" Maybe Henry David Thoreau didn't have access to the world of technology we often take for granted today, but isn't he is right on point? There are a few groups I belong to local to my area. It's a disappointment when discussions don't get lively and no one seems to want to meet in person. What was an unspoken promise so often turns out to be a lie. I mean really, if you are working in the same city, doesn't meeting in person make sense? If you join a group without a purpose, but you already have so much of that overwhelm feeling, you could just end up being as busy as popcorn on a skillet.

Groups can help me build relationships beyond being just a connection with someone. If you are in a group you can take advantage to easily connect further with someone new. Let's say you like what someone has to say in a discussion with someone. Using the REPLY PRIVATELY can start communications with someone you would like to get to know better. I've often done this. It can lead to either Skype or telephone conversations.

Is there a discussion I can contribute to? Relevant comments in a group discussion, can add value, to the group and yourself. Now that's sex appeal. Often you can find yourself being the "most influential" in a relatively quiet group. There hasn't been a discussion in weeks? No; and group statistics confirm that. No new discussions and no new members in the last weeks - for a few months, often precedes the groups demise. I've seen many just pack up and go. Something could be wrong with the group purpose - people don't find fulfilling discussions, so why talk? Or maybe there is more silence than not. Or the leader isn't paying attention to steer the group back on track. So how does this corrupt connections? In the end, people - leave the group, the group shuts down and it leaves you more cautious next time.

The group manager invited me to connect at the same time as I got the invitation to join the group. This action can speak to at least two intentions: the leader is genuinely interested in one-to-one connections or they are buying your acceptance. Yes; there are likely other possible intentions. As it's often said, it's hard to tell whether it's the dog wagging its tail, or the tail wagging the dog. I've found the only way I know the real intention is after joining. That's when you can get to know the leader, or not.

There certainly are more considerations before you join a LinkedIn group for a mutual good. LinkedIn and their groups go together, like food and water, you need them both. It's a better experience when you've said "yes" to a group invitation when people share information, and help you meet others for whatever you want to meet them for - job, seeker, marketer, collaborative entrepreneur. But the truth for this introvert anyway, is it's a respectable experience when it leads to closer relationships with people.

What has been your experience with LinkedIn groups? Do you have any pet peeves? Or suggestions to make a group work?

5 Reasons Why Most Do Not Succeed To Create Money Online

When men and women join a Mlm corporation or Multilevel marketing they are provided an item or service to refer to others. This merchandise does not promote itself. They overlook or they've no clue that the corporation they just joined can be a revenue and advertising and marketing enterprise. No way to get around that truth.

Five Reasons Why Most Fail To Create Money Online

1. Join the incorrect firm for the wrong factors. How many of us can say they did this simply because they have been assured "spillover"? The super star marketers have made their promises to you? You have been promised the ground floor opportunity of the century? So many promises.

You joined for emotional explanations. The item or service should be competitive around the open marketplace. And you would get that solution or service even if there was not a revenue opportunity attached.

2. You join with your final dollar so you have no cash flow. It is a business enterprise. It's essential to have capital to run your online business. The key to create money online would be to include and market a funded proposal.

A funded proposal method makes it possible for you to make ample income in the front end while setting up your mlm team. You receive commission even when people don't join your team. Or in case you are leaning to the side of internet affiliate marketing it gives you far more marketing dollars. This can enable you to make a substantial residual earnings. For instance, it's simpler to get someone to spend funds on an internet tool you advocate than join your main opportunity. You will be setting up a business enterprise not just a downline that could disappear at any time.

3. You don't have an advertising procedure. you need to learn what a great marketing and advertising method entails.

You need a system that could generate leads for you personally. It's a marketing system you will use to create leads while branding yourself as well as your small business. All leading earners that create money online possess a marketing system. And with that being said, you may need training on advertising and marketing. Acquiring marketing skills will help you create a consistent stream of new prospects so you can carry on to develop your small business.

4. Large attrition rates. Within this marketplace the rates run concerning 80-90%. People join, they can be not prosperous in their first 30-60-90 days and their off on the following possibility. If they had the right coaching or marketing skills, maybe they would be successful and stay longer. But you will find individuals that nevertheless imagine if you just join, your computer will commence spitting funds out without having undertaking any action.

5. Lack of recruiting competencies. No one likes to get offered to. Simply present and move on. Research folks inside the marketplace. There have common behaviors. And remember they all started off on the same spot once... in the beginning. And had the exact same wish to create money online.

If you're sick and tired of all the junk programs and schemes... And flat out LIES... And want to learn the REAL SKILLS to building a $20k+/mo business... HERE'S THE SOLUTION YOU'VE BEEN LONGING FOR... Create Money Online

Instant Ways to Break Into a Tight Crowd

Find Your "In" Into the Crowd

An "in" can be an item nearby the group of interest, a topic of conversation that arises. It can even stretch it to the very event or function that you are attending. It should be something you can speak on or inquire about easily. You can use it at any appropriate point during the group's conversation. If you do not have one, you may need to employ the wire-tap technique.

Wire-Tap

This technique is most often called eavesdropping. It is your "Plan B" if you do not have an "in". What you are attempting to do is familiarize yourself with the conversation that is already taking place. If you are capable of standing in close proximity to the group then you can likely pick up on their general conversation. Listen for names that you are familiar with or topics you can speak with confidence on. When you are sure that you the conversation is something that you can partake in, you are ready to enter the conversation. Make sure you are able to immediately establish yourself as a part of the conversation. This means asking leading questions and not simply coming in and making a comment that can be discarded.

Leading Questions

When you want to use a lead, you should make sure it is not an awkward transition for those already in the conversation. For instance, if they are speaking about an individual at your work that you can speak on, then you should enter with an open question or comment. "How do you see [person's name] fitting into the overall system here?" This question makes for conversation immediately. The group may be taken aback at first. Expect this and do not because self-conscious when it happens. You have interjected yourself into the group, but you had something worth saying and have left the question open to them. If they are too taken aback and there is any form of awkward silence, simply introduce yourself with an apology. "Oh, my apologies. Allow me to introduce myself. I am [your name]. I was asking because I overheard your conversation and was fascinated." You have successfully become a part of the conversation. The group now knows who you are; they can speak on the person in question. They can also defer their opinion to you. Either way, they are now engaged in conversation with you.

Confidence with Courtesy

The most important aspect of finding your way into any engaged group discussion is to enter in with confidence and courtesy. Being courteous means not talking over someone or forcing your way into a conversation during someone's story. It also means apologizing (without being submissive) as you enter the group. Confidence means walking into the group with your head high and your voice prominent. Do not allow yourself to waver as you enter the group. Speak clearly and with a resounding voice. Let your body language tell them that you are there to be a part of the group.

The Kamikaze Method

If you simply cannot find an "in" into the conversation and all else fails, you may just decide to jump in feet first. When you do so, it can be a little awkward, but simply staying confident is the key. You can enter into a conversation with a simple "Hey, sorry to interject, but your conversation fascinates me." You can also be abrupt. "Hi guys, I'm [your name]. I am sorry to interrupt but I could not help overhearing and wanted to hear more." While these can be a bit scary at first, most people do not mind a person being involved in their conversation. It not only shows courage but also makes them feel interesting and appreciated. Remember that the worst that can happen is that you are somewhat rejected. Rejection is simply a part of the possibility of life. You cannot let the fear of such rejection dictate how you interact with others.

Get Me Outta Here: Employee Satisfaction, Fiction or Fact?

Picture this; sitting in an office for eight hours a day, staring at the same computer screen while crammed in a room with who knows how many other employees, which most likely, if you're in London, does not have air conditioning. Sounds fantastic, right? Or maybe this scenario seems all too familiar to the pains of the industrial workweek so many of us have become a slave to. Experts in organizational communication have been saying for years that employees must find a balance of creativity and constraint within the organizational environment to enjoy work and increase productivity.

Today, employees want a better quality of life. We want to enjoy ourselves and feel that we deserve no less, as goes the motto 'you only live once'. Despite increasing unemployment rates in many countries, individuals want to enjoy what they do, want to feel like their employers care about them, and want to be happy with the work they produce. All of which come out of a freeing, encouraging and supportive work environment.

Many organizations around the world have noticed that creativity emerges amongst employees as a strategic response to the toil and limitation of the work environment. Companies like Google are taking huge steps to make sure their employees are happy, healthy, well fed, and of course productive. Google offices around the globe include perks such as onsite gyms, personal trainers, masseuses, sleeping pods, doctors offices, laundry services, fire poles, slides, eco-friendly cars available for employee use, calming aquarium lounges, and so much more. Not to mention, all of these services are provided to the employees FOR FREE! Google supplies their employees with gourmet lunches of every style and cuisine imaginable; the company even grows its own organic produce on site! In the summer time Google encourages a friendly and sociable work environment by having a barbeque at lunchtime outside in the courtyard.

Google employees swear by the revolutionary and creative organizational structure, professing that it is an empowering environment. This unconventional company composition allows each employee to feel like they are equally important, informed, and appreciated as much as the next, no matter his or her job title or employment longevity. Additionally, Google functions on a method they have termed "20% time offers", which give engineers the opportunity to take 20% off of time spent working on central projects to go imagine, explore, and create new ideas and inventions. The 20% offer has spawned groundbreaking Google developments such as Google News.

Google executives agree that to stay at the top of the technology curve every organizational member must feel the perfect balance between fun and work. Google encourages employee collaboration by promoting an extremely open and social office atmosphere. Mario Queiroz, VP of Google Product Management, stated that every conversation had inside the office is a genuine and significant exchange between people who consider themselves more than friends. Other companies are taking note of the prosperity associated with Google's social attitude towards work, as organizations around the world have implemented policies that encourage employees to join networking groups in the area. Even locally an emphasis on socializing has made its presence known on the business scene as employers are recommending employees join business groups such as BNI North London. Executives at BNI and North London business group members alike rave about the fun, friendly, freeing, and thought provoking environment at BNI North London networking parties.

Increasing numbers of business professionals are catching wind of this new creative and stimulating work life. As people want to make the most out of their lives more and more employees are demanding the right to have their cake, eat it, and ENJOY it too!

Having Fun on the Job?

"All work and no play makes for a very dull day" is an understatement. Sitting at a desk and staring at a computer all day long doesn't make for a very exciting, or enjoyable, work experience. You feel unmotivated, uninspired, and quite frankly, bored. Sometimes spicing things up in the office is exactly what you and your employees need to feel that spark of energy and excitement that makes going to work enjoyable. Remember as a child how excited you would be when you had a field trip or special event planned at school? Rather than dreading coming to school, you looked forward to it. This is the same idea with fun at work. So how exactly can you make the workplace "fun", and are it really worth it?

Before you discredit that having "fun" in the workplace is necessary, listen to this. Big companies like Google have workplaces that are more like playgrounds than offices. Google's unconventional and unusual offices aren't just meant for fun, but rather to promote free flowing thinking and to offer a creative outlet for employees. And if you think that these employees play all day and get no work done, then you're sadly mistaken. Google features, such as Google News, have been created, all in part of these free thinking areas. According to a special article on Monster.com, "Data from the organization's 1 million-person research database reveals that "Great" companies consistently earn significantly higher marks for 'fun.'"

While you may not wish to put a giant slide or game rooms in your office, there are other ways to ensure that your office is a fun, enjoyable place to be. Say one of your co-workers or employees owns a karaoke machine. Why not have them bring it in every Wednesday for "X Factor Day"? Allowing employees to have some fun in the workplace allows them to be continually stimulated. Rather than dreading coming to work, having fun activities planned will make your employees excited. Who doesn't look forward to "Free Cupcake Monday". (Sorry for all you dieters). Have co-workers who enjoy listening to Lady Gaga? Blast "Poker Face" and let the magic begin. Motivated, happy employees are the best employees. This website offers other excellent ways to "inject fun into the workplace".

These sort of "unconventional" workplaces also allow employees to get to better know one another, create new relationships, and increases friendliness in the office. Creating a fun environment in the office can make employees feel more comfortable interacting with one another, and will then create a better, more comfortable workplace. People need creative outlets to get the juices flowing!

It may be hard to understand that these wacky ideas can actually improve your business, but it works. Consider switching things up at the workplace. You may be surprised what results you may get from your newly "fun" employees.

5 Places You Should Be Networking for Your Business This Summer

I don't know about you, but once the thermometer hits 80 degrees the last thing I want to do is put on a suit and go to a networking event. Here in the Midwest, we try to squeeze in as much fun as we can in our seemingly too short summer. But that doesn't mean your networking should slow down in the summer. In fact, it should be hotter then ever; everyone's in great mood and there's a lot more sunshine! You just have to go where the people are. Here are 5 great places to network when the sun is out:

Cookouts - Whether it's for your neighborhood association, your kid's little league team, or your church picnic, summer cookouts are full of people that you just kinda know. Like all of these networking ideas, people don't really go to cookouts to talk business, so don't be the guy or gal who only talks about business. There's nothing wrong, though, with getting to know people better - ask them the kind of questions you'd ask any new networking partner. You'll be amazed at the connections you can make over the grill.
Vacation Spots - People travel all over the country, heck, all over the world, on summer vacation. One of the fun things about travel is the people you meet when you are there (and sometimes in the airports on the way). Don't be afraid to strike up conversations with the people you meet while vacationing, both the locals and other travelers like yourself. Even if you don't make a business contact, you'll have fascinating conversations. And because of the power of the internet and social media, these days you can meet someone thousands of miles from home and still stay connected with them!
Ballgames - There's nothing like sitting in the stands, watching a game, and having a couple of hot dogs. Unless you go in a big group, there's a good chance you'll be sitting near someone you don't know for at least three hours (more if it goes into extra innings). Why not be friendly and introduce yourself? At the very least you'll have a friend for the few hours of the game - if they're rooting for the right team; and you never know who that person is and where a conversation could lead...
Street Fairs - The summer is full of art fairs, music festivals, barbeque rib cook-offs, and more. Be open to meeting new people while you're there. You already know that you share a common interest - you're both at the same festival! So when you're waiting in line to get some cotton candy, say hi to the person behind you.
Restaurant Patios - There's something about enjoying a cool beverage while sitting on a patio in the summer that puts everyone in a positive frame of mind. It's a great place to meet new people. Or even better, use the opportunity to invite one of your existing contacts to grab a beverage with you and do your networking outdoors. Then you can enjoy the weather and do business at the same time!

I'm sure there are even more places to network in the summer, but these will give you a start. The trick is to keep your eyes open to the possibilities and not push off your networking until later! Enjoy your summer!

3 Value-Adding Networking Tactics

Networking is critical to being successful in practically any field and screenwriting is no different. Screenwriters are usually anxious or reluctant to network because they feel like fish out of water. They're use to working independently and relying on themselves for getting their jobs done. Also, screenwriters' lives revolve around telling stories about others and not about themselves. So, the heartburn they feel for networking is understandable and fortunately, curable.

Let's not make networking into more than it actually is. Basically, networking is socializing and building relationships among colleagues. The more we can see it as plain-old relationship building instead of some weird and foreign dynamic then the easier we can see ourselves getting involved and being successful.

Who among us has never formed a relationship with someone? We all have, so we all are capable of doing it at a networking event. People network because they want to meet other people and build relationships that will help them achieve their goals. And we all do this by: locating people, introducing ourselves, learning about them, allowing them to learn about us, finding commonalities, expressing and identifying wants and needs, and helping satisfy those wants and needs.

I've written lots networking articles over the years. In this article I'm focusing on 3 specific tactics. These 3 specific tactics should provide you with the necessary tools for immediately going out to an event and successfully networking.

1. Bring expert knowledge.

Do you get anxious about not having something interesting to talk about? Then prepare before your next networking event with an interesting topic that you are an expert on and get rid of that anxiety. We all have personal topics that we can speak about - in some cases ad nauseam. And hopefully, in addition to the personal topics, you will also have industry topics that you could easily learn more about and become an expert. If you don't, then find some.

Do you like watching television? Then become an expert on the new seasonal line up. Which networks are putting out what, who's writing what, what are the trends, and what are the reviews? Do you have a preference between network and cable programming? What's your forecast for who wins and loses in the upcoming television season?

Do you like sports? Well, if you do, don't just like your sport and team, become an expert.

Most importantly, know the Hollywood screenwriting industry. Become an expert on the going-ons within the screenwriting industry. Who sold what? Who bought what this year and last year? Who do you admire and why? What trends do you see? How does your script fit into what's happening or how does it stand apart?

Maybe you are science fiction writer ... then become a science fiction expert.

I guarantee, at the least, whomever you network with will remember you by the wealth of knowledge you had for a particular topic. "You're the guy who's passionate about the Dallas Cowboys, right?"

Set yourself apart.

2. Identify how you can help other people ahead of time.

People in the entertainment industry want to talk about what you can do for them more than what they can do for you. You have to figure out how you can help other people. How can you be of value?

Too many screenwriters are "trying to get their script read" or "trying to meet people" but they don't really know how to connect and help others. They feel a bit at the contact's mercy simply hoping against hope that their script might get read.

One possible thing you have to offer is your connections around town. Think about them before you head out to the event. Prepping on the connections keep them fresh in your mind. Drop names if you want. Offer to make introductions when appropriate.

Or you might talk to someone who wants to shoot a film in Cincinnati, and that's where you're from. You could offer to hook them up with a farmer to shoot on their land.

Get in the mindset of listening for how you can help people. When you become valuable to them and they like you, that's when they, in turn, want to help you.

3. Figure out a reason or two that you can use to follow-up with the people you meet.

In speaking with these people, find value-adding reasons to call them the next day or that week. Develop your conversational skills. Be creative.

You have to stand out somehow.

Maybe they said something that made you think of a website they might find valuable. Friend them on Facebook. Keep in touch.

When you walk away, consider writing down notes about your conversation and what action you will take when you get home.

Within 24 hours, follow through on whatever you need to do to establish that contact. Otherwise, you might not remember and another opportunity will slip by.

Following these tips will help you to walk away with solid contacts and have that networking event be a success.

If you want to improve your skills in this area, consider a coaching or training in networking session with Dr. Melody Jackson to get you ready.

Happy networking in Hollywood!

Relationship Marketing Can Take YOUR Business to the Next Level

Running a small business, especially if it is from home or an office with little or no staff, can be a very lonely place. For many, it is hard to understand the importance of working 'in' your business against working 'on' your business.

To develop a strong and flourishing enterprise, an owner needs to be able to attract people and other businesses to use their products or services. I find that most small businesses are what I call 'luxury businesses', which in the competitive marketplace of today, is even harder to sell.

My experience has shown me that to take your product and services to the marketplace can be achieved more successfully by using a MasterMind group. You will build strong relationships that can support you to accomplish what you are wanting from your business. It will focus you, keep you accountable and move you forward by giving you the skills and contacts necessary to develop you and your business. This is 'working on' your business!

This small group of other entrepreneurs will become your building block to grow your business. This can be a far more economical way to spread the word without spending the big bucks on advertising etc.

Learning how to use social media as a marketing tool has given us all the opportunity to really create business relationships in an easier format than ever before. For me personally, ninety percent of my business comes via social media and meet-up groups. MasterMinding can help you use this more successfully in your business development.

If you want to stand out in the marketplace, find yourself a good mastermind group, understand your niche market and build your contacts from there. Don't spread your wings too far initially and focus in on where your particular clients are going to be. If you become known and trusted for what you do, you will in time develop what you want. Remember, this is not a hit and miss way of creating your clients. This is to support you to develop a very strong base of people, who will in turn, if your products and services are of good value, recommend you to others along the way.

It is important when building your business relationships to understand that you are not there to 'push yourself, your products and services down someone else's throat'. It is necessary to build the trust level so that you have people talking about you and what you do.

I have found that MasterMinding is the best way to build strong relationships with a small group of other business people. These business entrepreneurs will really get to know you, know your products and services and support you to achieve what you want to achieve.

As Napoleon Hill, Pioneer of Personal Achievement Philosophy said:

"The moment you commit and quit holding back, all sorts of unforeseen incidents, meetings and material assistance, will rise up to help you. The simple act of commitment is a powerful magnet for help."

Keeping Yourself Informed and Ahead of the Crowd

If you do an online search for "innovative business ideas", a seemingly endless supply of results will appear. Online, you can find multiple ways to enhance your business, from how to advertise more effectively, to creating the perfect Twitter page. As a business professional, you should always be aware of the new and upcoming things occurring in your professional field that aim to improve business. While a simple "Google" search can supply you with some answers or case studies, there are other more sociable and exciting ways to become more involved with improving your business.

Twitter is an excellent tool that many businesses and professionals use to connect with others to exchange ideas and form relationships. Following other industry professionals on Twitter and tweeting with them is a great way to not only meet others in the same field as you, but to see what new things they are doing at their company. Whether you use a social networking tool or are meeting in person, it is always an investment in your company to see what other businesses have done in the past that either worked or didn't work for them.

Attending conventions and seminars is another great way to see what ideas and products are going to be introduced in your professional field. These conventions are usually the first ones to display new products, websites, and ideas that will hit the market the following year. For example, if you are in the marketing industry, attending a marketing convention is a brilliant way to learn new marketing tools that will not only benefit your clients, but your company as well. Attending these conventions and seminars is an easy way to make sure you are informed of upcoming trends.

If your company has new and innovative ideas that can be used to enhance your business, go with it. People are attracted to the most innovative and creative marketing tools. By doing something different, your company can stand out in the crowd. Staying ahead of the crowd is the best way to ensure that your company is always on the cutting edge. But make sure to do your research before diving into a new marketing strategy. While a new, successful marketing strategy may have been lucrative for one company, does not necessarily mean that it will work well with yours. By researching how other companies implemented their original marketing tactics into their business, you can gain some insight on the right and wrong ways to do it.

If you want to be ahead of your competition, remain innovative, do your research, and talk with others in your industry. These simple, effective steps to a better business are a sure way to keep you ahead of the game.

Networking Successfully = Listening

The most important part of networking and building relationships is listening. This is a skill that successful and professional sales people use to perfection.

Are you really hearing what the speaker is saying? Are you watching them as well? Listening is more than listening with your ears to someone's voice and the words they are saying. It is all about watching their expressions as well as their movements and gestures. Look at the eyes of the person who you are speaking with, be involved and listen to what isn't being said too! This will help with your questioning.

To be successful as a networker you need to be a great listener as well as being alert and interested in what the speaker is saying. Body language can tell you more than the words that are said. If you haven't read anything about body language, I suggest that you read at least one of Allan Pease's books.

Really listening to what the person you are speaking with is saying, what their needs are and where can you support them will bring you clients and advocates quicker than anything else. When you are speaking with a prospective client, what are they really wanting and needing? Can you support them with something totally unrelated to theirs or your work? Can you pass on a good referral from your contacts that may be able to help them achieve that they are wishing to achieve?

I have said for many years that we have been given two eyes and one mouth... so use the eyes before the mouth. If you allow the person you are communicating with to talk at least twice as much as you do, then you will learn things that you would not have naturally learnt by doing all the talking. Ask questions that are pertaining to them, not yourself.

The greatest compliment you can give someone is to listen to them, as people naturally love to talk, especially about themselves or their products. Really listen though and ask questions as much as you can. This way you are empowering and encouraging them to tell you more. Don't get the glazed look though when they are speaking as there is nothing worse than watching someone listening to a conversation, who you know isn't listening at all. A bored listener shows too!

So, start listening more and finding out some interesting information that can support your clients as well. Being able to refer someone to your friends, customers and clients is a wonderful way to let them know that you are supporting them grow their businesses.

Wishing you happy listening and learning.

Is Your Business YOUR Passion?

Waking up in the morning, knowing that you have a long day ahead, are you energised knowing that you are doing something you love and just want to get to, or do you dread having to drag yourself to your desk?

Passion for what you do will show through when you talk about your business. More than likely, you chose to start your business because you were passionate about the subject or product. Your chance of success and personal satisfaction shines through when you speak your message if you are doing what you love! If you have lost your passion, that will shine through too!

To start and keep a business these days you need to have an entrepreneurial spirit and an overwhelming wish to make a difference. If your business is a means to an end, you will find that it may be short lived as any passion you had moves to a personal state of dislike or lack of interest.

If you started your business to create wealth and you do not have the skills, contacts, business acumen or experience, more than likely, you will be one of those who find themselves in a situation of closing the doors and looking for another way to bring in an income.

According to the Small Business Administration in the USA (Australia I believe is similar), only 44% of new businesses make it to their fourth year. If you are new in business, these numbers shouldn't discourage you if your business is also your passion, as you will be prepared to do whatever it takes to bring your dream to fruition.

Was your business created around a dream or vision to do or be something? Is it something you have thought about for a long time, an inner knowing telling you to create 'the dream' for the betterment of others, in some way?

Does your business make you want to cry or bring up an emotion when you talk about it? If so, I believe that you are creating your souls purpose that only someone who has experienced that feeling can understand.

Small business statistics from the Australian Government show that 95% of businesses are small businesses, with nearly 1 million people running a business from home at this time. This figure is growing rapidly according to the Australian Home Based Business Statistics. As employment becomes harder, especially for people over 50, starting a small home-based business becomes the one thing that people can create without the large overheads that are created by having a shop front.

Finding your true passion is something that some people just know, and for many others, it is something that just clicks in when the time is right. Do you ever wonder and ask how can you find your true passion? This is something within you that only you can know and find.

Bill Strickland, author of Make the Impossible Possible offers some clues, writing: "Passions are irresistible... If you're paying attention to your life at all, the things you are passionate about won't leave you alone. They're the ideas, hopes, and possibilities your mind naturally gravitates to, the things you would focus your time and attention on for no other reason than that doing them feel right." Strickland believes that only by following your passion will you unlock your deepest potential. "I never saw a meaningful life that wasn't based on passion. And I never saw a life full of passion that wasn't, in some important way, extraordinary."

Look around your community and city and see who the real entrepreneurs are... seeing how they follow their passion. So many aspiring entrepreneurs follow the crowd and end up disappointed because they feared following their heart. So, as a business owner, be passionate about your product, service, company or cause. Make a difference and shine your light.

Tips to Effectively Survive Networking Events

Networking events are primarily organized to meet business and social networking needs of enterprises. Hundreds of professionals participate in networking events held at different points of time to make new contacts, generate effective leads, and develop business opportunities.

Networking is hard and very few are adept at this game of generating quality contacts. For most individuals such occasions tend to be full of situations which may be monotonous in nature and small talk. Every professional should be aware of the formalities and the etiquette in order to mingle with attendees to achieve their business goals. Let's talk about some tips which may prove to be effective and would help you make the most of these events.

Walk into the Room Smartly

Don't just stand still after entering the room where the event is being hosted. You can either look for your friends who are already there or else go to the registration desk to find out the whereabouts of the speaker or the host. Instead of heading straight towards your seat or the bar, it is good to meet up with your friends or join a group of people discussing the latest market trends or stock exchange reports.

Introduce Yourself

When meeting up a new person or a group, you should introduce yourself first, and then tell them a little about the company you work for, your designation and most importantly how being associated with you can benefit them. Don't just wait for others to ask what you do, etc. You should frame a small introductory paragraph in your mind which should ideally comprise of phrases that should easily catch the attention of your new friends. However, do not try to dominate the over the group and ensure that it doesn't sound like a speech.

Have Honest Conversations

It means you should participate in a conversation healthily and smartly - it should not look like you are forcing yourself to chat or trying very hard to butt into an interesting dialogue going on between some of the people. In case an individual asks you about your role you should explain it in plain, easy to understand terms without being too technical about it. Remember, your goal is to allow interested individuals to be acquainted with you and not listen to a sales pitch.

Give Your Business Card plus Collect Other's Cards

After a successful introductory phase and participating in useful discussions, it is now time to give your business card to the ones who in your assessment may be interested in doing business with you and your company. You should approach potential contacts and in turn ask them to give their cards for future follow ups. In this way, you can establish a personal and professional rapport with prospective clients and business associates. Also, you should note down their social networking link ups to be able to add them to your friend list.

Follow Up Post Event

Your research and physical presence in a networking event will go to waste unless you follow up with your contacts after the event! You should communicate with your target contacts at least 3 days post the meeting. It is better to email the person rather than to call him or her on the first instance. Once your target responds, find out the best ways to keep the conversation going!

Do YOU Know Why You Are Networking?

Probably the most apparent factor as a business networker I notice when participating in networking events is the fact that most event goers do not know how they may make networking work effectively on their own as well as their business.

In my opinion, you will find four things you must do and know before networking will create to your expectations.

The very first being is to be aware what, where, why and who your specialised niche is. This is often overlooked and thus a lot of time and energy is wasted being in the wrong environment.

What exactly are you searching to attain when you go to events? Have you considered who it is that you need to be acquainted with for your success in the future? What is your reason for being in that particular marketplace? Are you aware of your target market to meet those business people you need to know?

These are really crucial questions if you wish to get your networking right! When you are conscious of these four questions, you can set to achieve what you would like to do in the most cost-effective and efficient manner. Face-to-face marketing isn't a 'hit and miss' situation. I believe that there's an equation which brings success when you find your niche and learn how to create the right connections.

Do you understand why you are attending an event? Have you set one or more goals of what you want to attain whilst you are at an event? Are you currently goal setting and ensuring they are achieved for all your networking? It is crucial that you reach what you set out to do and never leave any event until you have accomplished your reason for being there.

Of course, it is important that you socialise with those you know but making new contacts is your reason for attending the event. Don't spend your time with people you already know as you can continue with those relationships after the event. Your time and effort with people you're friends with needs to be restricted to a minimum of one-third of the total event time.

Make friends with anyone who appears not to know anybody and support them to meet others. This should help you ease in to new circles of participants. Don't leave the event until you have accomplished what you came to do! Always remember that you are there to meet other attendees first of all!

The key to any event is the follow-up - what you do once you leave and return to your work. Make certain you email people you've met that you feel you want to know better and meet out again carrying on from the conversation you had when you met. It is crucial that you simply send a friendly email. DO NOT do any promotion on you and what you do. This is the first turn-off when you know someone only wants to know you so that they can get something from you. Relationship building takes time... It is rare that any business will be done until you grow your relationship.

Networking is about developing relationships and giving without expectation. The first priority would be to learn the most about that person you're making connection with, asking them for more and determine if you want to meet them again one-on-one or in a future event. It is crucial that the email states what your intentions are when it comes to knowing them more. Remember, you don't know who they know. You may be searching for someone for your network so be open to finding out about everyone's business, products and services, for this may be the opportunity for you to support others too. So, it is important to develop your knowledge of other's businesses.

Everyone has different reasons for networking and usually most are not aware of why they are attending for starters. It is more than just simply arriving and expecting something to happen. Networking is about the opportunity and experience you get to really make it a difference to not only you and your business but to others too.

The Missing Piece of the Collaboration Puzzle

Even the best collaborative solution sold today doesn't include the most important piece of the collaboration puzzle. Regardless of how whiz-bang and forward thinking the software is, once deployed you may still be missing a major component necessary for effective collaborative efforts. While the ability to contact people and collaborate is important to increasing efficiencies within an enterprise, it is not enough!

I assert the most important piece of the effective collaborative effort is your ability to know who in your organization to get in touch with. Quickly and efficiently contacting ten of the wrong people in a ten-way information sharing extravaganza can result in a large waste of time if the solution you are seeking remains in the dark. Knowing who we should collaborate with in large organizations may make a difference how soon a company is ready to introduce a new drug to the market, whether or not expert testimony is surfaced in time for a case or how quickly we catch the criminal. Global re-creation of the wheel can stop now!

Millions of dollars are spent every year on enterprise-class collaborative applications that do not provide an enterprise approach to surfacing the people who matter within an organization. Today's systems rely on manual processes such as tagging documents or filling out profiles, this approach will collapse every time in a large enterprise environment. It seems that we, as more evolved knowledge managers, need the right tool for the job; call it an "Expertise Engine." Let's invest in a true solution rather than just more hardware. Let's spend more effort finding the right person and worry less about how we contact them. I'm not advocating that we give up all the progress we have made to more effectively communicate than ever possible before. I am not giving up my ability to video chat around the planet and talk with a colleague on an iPad in a London cab as he rides down Piccadilly Circus. I just want to know that when I do, I am actually collaborating with the most knowledgeable people in my organization on the topic at hand.

In order for a solution to effectively "know" who is best qualified to assist you on a project, it must have an understanding of at least two pieces of the equation: 1) The nature of your collaborative need and, 2) An accurate, fresh, (read dynamic) understanding of the individual body of work for each person within the universe of potential collaborative partners. These requirements knock out all solutions that require manual updating of profiles, tagging of documents or anything else that is not involved in the day to day tasks required to complete of the aforementioned universe's job. No matter the size of the carrot or stick, manual input just doesn't happen.

What today's savvy collaborators need to make their investment in communications hardware and software is automated expertise discovery. Solutions that don't require the users to do anything other than their job will give you accurate, fresh and relevant recommendations simply by the nature of their processes. Automated expertise location frees the KW from manual tasks and allows them to spend time working on their mission. Knowing who to collaborate with frees up not only your time by targeting the right person or team, but also the other people within the organization who might have been wrongly contacted in an effort to find the right people and often brought into unnecessary meetings.

Now you have knowledge of the most important piece of the collaborative puzzle. The solutions are out there and vendors are waiting to collaborate with you on how to address your needs.

The most important piece of the collaboration puzzle is knowledge of who to collaborate with.
Our DiscoverPoint solution automatically develops an understanding of the content that each KW's produces and consumes within the organization. Because we understand the meaning of this information, we can suggest people to one another and suggest relevant documents between individuals based on similar interests and expertise. No longer do you need to fill out and update manual profiles or tag documents.
We would like to set up a short demonstration of DiscoverPoint and discuss how your organization may leverage internal resources to increase productivity. For more info go to: http://www.discovertechnologies.com/.

Improve Your Internet Marketing Conversion Rate

Improve Your Online Marketing Conversion Rate

To be successful in business, you need a solid game plan. Love it or hate it, you need to embrace Online Marketing as a major component in your business marketing strategy. Online, your business is just as big as any major player. If you drive traffic and offer compelling value, you WILL win the game. We see small businesses outperform larger, more powerful companies with greater resources, all the time. The businesses that execute their game plan the best and makes the fewest mistakes, comes out on top. In today's market all businesses need to network market, develop and strengthen their online presence, and offer value-added products and service.

Here are some rock solid tips to help improve your online marketing conversion rates:

1. Have a Plan

You need to have a plan before you start a business. A well organized business plan provides a roadmap to achieving your goals. Having a well thought out business plan will give you clear vision of your goals and objectives. Keep in mind that the business plan is just the beginning. Your plan will need to be revisited and adjusted as you go. Your goals and objectives for the business might change, and so will your plan to achieve them. Your business plan is a guide to achieving your goals.

2. Posture Yourself

You need to develop a unique selling proposition. One that postures you and your product or service as a must have. You need to separate yourself from the crowd. By posturing yourself and defining your unique selling proposition, you increase your perceived value, expertise, and credibility. This is what give you an advantage over your competition.

3. Make it Obvious

Have you ever seen a sign, a company name, or got to a website and you had no idea what it was about? That can get frustrating pretty quickly. Don't let your visitors wonder. They shouldn't get to your site (regardless of how they got there, or on what page they entered) and it not be clear what it's all about. Make it clear, right from the beginning. Use consistent headlines or banner across your site. Choose relevant keywords to drive purposeful traffic. Quality is more important than quantity. Remember: a satisfied customer tells 3 friends... an unhappy customer tells 10.

4. Keep it Organized and Provide a Site Search

You have mere seconds to engage visitors when they reach your site. It is critical that your visitors can find what they're looking for quickly and easily. Keep your site content organized and provide a simple menu structure to help your visitors navigate your site. In addition, provide a site search so your user can quickly find related information. When visitors are able to quickly and easily find the information they're seeking, they'll remain on your site longer. The longer visitors stay on your site, the greater your chances of converting them into customers.

5. Treat Your Subscriber List as Business Asset

On average, it takes seven contacts with a visitor to your website to convert them into a customer. That means it takes seven visits to establish a relationship of trust and value. Visitors that have subscribed to your site are interested in what you have to say. These folks have consciously decided to provide their information and allow you to reach out to them. This gives you the ability to have contact with these people over and over again. Eventually, they will develop enough trust in you to purchase your products and services. If you treat them right, they'll likely keep purchasing from you. More importantly, they'll tell others about you. DO NOT constantly bombard your subscribers with offers, or waste their time. With one click they will quickly unsubscribe and you'll never see them again. Make sure the information you send them has value and is useful. Eventually, you'll be rewarded.

6. Maximize Your Network and Your Online Marketing Efforts

Many times folks hope for the homerun when marketing their business. It's often necessary to make multiple adjustments to your methods to maximize your marketing efforts. You have to be disciplined and patient. You have to give your marketing methods a chance to work. While you be tempted to test many marketing avenues, don't spread yourself too thin. Run a solid campaign and then build on it. Whether you start with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, online classifieds such as CragsList or Backpage, etc.; you need to utilize proven marketing methods for each platform; give then a chance to take hold; and then assess and build on those results. Dominate social media marketing and build your online empire.

7. Stand Behind Your Product

New visitors don't know you, your product, or your service. Even if they were referred to you, they will still have reservations. Putting visitor's minds at ease with testimonials and reviews about your products and services is one of the most effective steps you can take. Consumers are highly influenced by third party opinions. Think about it. How many times have you turned to a third party for their review of a product or service you were researching? In addition to testimonials, offer a guarantee. Offering a strong guarantee has the potential to dramatically increase sales. Typical guarantee periods range from 30 to 90 days. If you have true faith in your product, go longer. Statistically, less than 2% of your customers will ask for a refund. In my business, I offer a 5 year guarantee on the value of my products when purchased through my autoship program. My product does not go bad, and historically increases in value over time.

Conclusion

Most online network marketers quit too soon. The instant things start to get tough they bail out. Don't be another statistic. Fight the adversity. Network Marketing is real work... like any other business. But when you reach a level of success, it will have all been worth it.

With your plan in place you'll need to increase traffic to your website and soon enough you'll be on your way to internet marketing success.

Best to all,

Robert Jerome

Prospects Say NO? So What!

I didn't always say, ''so what!'' when I was told NO by a prospect. My perception at the time was that they said NO because I sounded like an idiot. They said NO because I couldn't answer their objections. They said NO because they did not like what I looked liked. They said NO because of this or that. Well there are many reasons why they may say no, but I found out that it was my attitude and lack of posture that was the main reason! So how do you develop this confidence and posture?

To sponsor people, you have to first accept that not everybody will say yes and you have to learn not to be so attached to the results. I know now, that the first thing you should master is your ability to accept rejection by working on your confidence and your posture. You need to build that self-esteem. You can't start a networking business and not learn how to manage the rejections and respond to the objections. If you can handle rejection in a positive way, you are empowering yourself to be a better communicator and leader. This is the first step. I figured that out pretty quickly.

When I was first faced with rejection, it would suck the energy and confidence out of me and I would be freaking out just thinking about my next phone call or face to face meeting. I had to find a solution. Giving up was on my mind! I needed to sponsor people, or else forget about my dream of working from home. I thought recruiting was not for me and that I would never get to be good at it. Well, I found something that changed the way I handled rejections and objections forever! It was a video interview with Mike Dillard, and master recruiter Mark Wieser.

In this video, Mark gets grilled by Mike on how he is able to personally sponsor 254 reps in one year and most important, do it with ease! With the guys' help, I found out that having confidence and posture is crucial to my success with sponsoring. I am now on my way. It really works!

I figured out that I needed to change the way that I was talking to the prospects. By changing the way that I approached the conversation and the attitude that I had in the conversation, I saw a major change in my confidence. Now, even if someone says no, I accept it with grace. I learned not to be attached to the results. A NO does not suck the energy out of me anymore. Of course the objective is to sponsor as many people as we can, but learn the basics first. It doesn't happen overnight, but when you master it, it's like magic!

I now can speak to people on the phone or face to face and am not getting as many no's, because my prospects see the confidence and posture and are more inclined to join me. Would you rather work with a leader or a follower? Would you rather be a leader or a follower? If you want people to see you as a leader, you must exude confidence and posture. I started to sponsor more people because of it, so if you want to learn how I overcame my fear of rejection and insecurity, gained confidence and dramatically improved my posture, you need to see this free one hour video interview!

Enjoy the free interview!

Why Go to a Wedding Expo?

At a wedding expo, there are endless vendors who offer services ranging from wedding limousine hire to food catering and invitations. When I was a bride, I never went to one. I lived in Wales at that time. For the most part I was finishing my final year of university. In the holidays, the groom had found three places on his own for us to look at. We went to a local party/print shop to pick out invitations. They could also have designs printed on napkins.

Back in Wales, I worked on making my own dress. Everyone was a bit dubious if I could achieve such a feat since I had little experience in dress making. I had never made anything except for a knitted top as a class project in primary school! I was inspired by another girl who threw together a dress for a university dance. She claimed you could do it with "sticky tape and glue." At one point she put it out in a small cement court yard so she could spray paint it! It was completely haphazard but she was just having a go. When she finally showed up at the university ball, I was amazed! She gave me the confidence to have a go at doing it myself. I reasoned - if she could do that, I could do that too!

I never even thought about hiring a car for the wedding. I never thought to ask for a limousine when my parents offered to hire a car. They actually called an airport car transfer company. It was basically a simple town car. I would have happily stuck myself in the back of a small run -down car that belonged to a friend and bridesmaid, without a clue! Neither did we hire a getaway car. The wedding and reception were in the same place and we drove off to another state in our own car which the groomsmen decorated.

Looking back at my ignorance, I would have to say that a wedding expo can help so that even if you do not use any of the services offered at a particular expo, you know what is available. You might find some really great vendors and can book their services in advance for your special day. Or if you are a D.I.Y. type, you can get some fuel for your creativity - even dress making.

How to Get Tons of Social Media Traffic

Social Media traffic is an important aspect of how businesses today communicate and interact with the world. There are many ways to approach the process. Some ways are expensive and time consuming, while others have little to no costs involved. Millions of people are using social media online. People are as Internet savvy as they've ever been. Some sites receive thousands of views a day. The goal should be to place your product in front of the eyes of as many people as possible.

Marketing and advertising can be expensive for those starting a new business. Networking sites can help you generate traffic to your site at no cost. The truth is that professionals know how to exploit the most popular communities for unstoppable traffic and leads. They understand how to use keywords and marketing campaigns to drive page views and clicks.

Online networking has changed the way people connect and share information. It's the technology that connects people, whether it is to share information or to chat about current events. Social networks, are the places where social interactions happen (where the sharing of information gets done). Social media networking is the way that we use this technology to build relationships, drive business and attract new customers through friends sharing with friends.

Businesses are finding it very difficult to generate appeal and interest in their products and services. The reason for this is that there is more competition than ever before. The primary objective when it comes to standing out from the competition is different from anything else. It takes time and thought to develop marketing campaigns that track results and show you which avenues are successful.
When leveraged properly, networking traffic is the biggest tool you can use to grow your business.

Facebook and Twitter may be 2 of the more popular networking sites, but they are by no means the only options out there. There are literally dozens of high ranking sites on the net that will make it easy to increase targeted traffic to your site. After becoming familiar with these sites and contributing to them daily, it will be easy to gain a following. It's just like building any other quality relationship; consistency is the key. References Will Be Furnished Upon Request

"Do you have any one we can contact about you"?

In the post 9/11 world we live in, every company is doing background checks on potential employees. From checking dates of hire, job titles, criminal background checks, pre-employment physicals (drug tests) and even credit checks, having someone who can speak well of you and your abilities will help you stand out as a candidate.

The only information Human Resources can give out are dates of employment and salary. It is your references, those people who you worked for and with that can provide valuable information to a potential employer about your character, work ethic, problem solving ability, and how you get along with others.

Here are a few things to remember about references:

You should have at least 3They can be supervisors, co-workers (or former co-workers), clients, clergy or friendsThey should be able to speak about your positive qualities and work ethic with honesty and sincerityIt helps if they have a job, employers feel they are more honest about assessing someone's abilityYou asked the people you listed that you're using them as a reference, gave them a copy of your resume, and highlighted the keys, what you feel are the reasons why you should be hired, so they can back up what you've saidAll of their contact information is accurate and up to dateDo not use family members as references, which includes In-Laws. Even though they have a different last name than yours, as soon as the question is asked how do they know you, the jig is up and your personal integrity and intelligence is questioned (since on every application they state do not use family members as references)

For a reference to be valid, you need to include the following information:

Person's nameJob TitleCompany they work forAddressCity, State Zip CodePhone numberE-mail

Be sure to keep in contact with your references. Not only are they a part of your network, but you consider these people to be important to you. Treat them with respect, as they are helping you. And they could be leads to other opportunities in the future. Or more importantly, the friend you can confide in and help get you through the rough patches of your job search. Your references should be people you care about and they should care about you, both personally and professionally. Because in today's employment picture, they might need you for a reference one day.
